TCB 50´s Regular Straight Jeans

The TCB 50’s jeans is a reproduction of the iconic vintage 1950’s Levi’s 501 with a paper patch. It is made with an unsanforized 13,5oz denim fabric. From the fabric to sewing to silhouette, it is made up to the details.

The fabric is a proprietary TCB denim unsanforized fabric, It is made by 100% Zimbabwe cotton, rope dyed and It has a slubby and irregular Texture. It has the natural unevenness such as unstable thread thickness and irregular tense on the fabric made by a vintage loom, not by the mainstream methods of the computer regulation. The trademark Zimbabwe cotton will show beautiful grain fades and TCB’s signature roping.

The fit is also inspired in the 50’s Levi’s 501. A Regular straight cut with a good amount of space in thighs, knees and calves, thus achieving a very comfortable while classic fit. They have a high rise.

The paper patch is all sewn by hands. At around the timing when the fades start to look great, the patch starts to be torn apart, showing the dark blue from the inside.

Note: Some sizes may have the new two cats paper patch. Due to Levi’s Japan copyright, TCB has recently changed the design.

TCB (which stands for Two Cats Brand or Taking Care of Business) is a Japanese label founded in Kojima by Hajime Inoue in 2012. It specializes in reproductions of the classic American denim icons produced from the 1920s to the 1960s. Among his garments, we can find some of the highest-quality reproductions we have ever seen, made in his own workshop on sewing machines more than a hundred years.
