Samurai Jeans A101-01 Tochigi Leather Belt Natural

This is a Tochigi premium leather belt in natural colour with a solid brass Garrison buckle. It has been cut and defined by hand by a master leather craftsman in Japan. The leather comes from Tochigi, one of the world’s few tanners that continues to use only natural vegetable tanning and has been cut from bend, the thickest and firmest part of cowhide. It provides superior strength, firmness and durability.

The Tochigi Leather tannery is called “a rarity in the world” because it uses only natural vegetable tanning. The factory’s 160 pits are filled with high-quality tanning made from Brazilian mimosa. The secret tanning solution has been continuously replied to without pause for decades. Leather is dipped into the pits from the lowest tanning concentration to the highest, so the tanning slowly and naturally permeates over time.

This masterpiece has a thick length of leather of an approximate thickness of 4.5mm – 5mm, which guarantees unparalleled durability.

The buckle itself is specially designed by Samurai and features an oxidised iron finish that will gradually gain its own unique patina with long term usage.

It is a classic design that ages and darkens with wear, acquiring a life without equal.
