These socks are made from environmentally sourced 100% virgin cotton for soft, long-wearing comfort and a timeless vintage look. A cosy, comfy ribbed sock made with recycled cotton, features colour contrast at the toe and heel.

The most fitting for this sock was unevenly dyed recycled cotton yarn. We are not talking about cotton recycled from worn garments, by “recycled cotton,” we mean 100% virgin cotton; yarn made of fibres that were too short to be spun into regular cotton yarn.

Using yarn spun from shorter fibres, Nishiguchi gets that rustic look for socks that pair perfectly with casual denim wear.

Nishiguchi took the extra fine cotton fibres called virgin cotton, which remained after yarn and ran it through a specialized spinning machine to create this special yarn. These socks are unique in the way that the more you wear them, the more “worn-in” it looks — just like a pair of vintage jeans. Nishiguchi used a unique dyeing technique called speck dyeing to add even more character to these socks, which involves sprinkling dye capsules and steaming the thread, forcing them to burst and create random specks of colour.
