Cut from shining oiled finish Japanese saddle leather made by the iconic Tochigi tannery, established in 1937 and located in the Kantō region of Honshu, Japan. The leather is 100% vegetable-tanned and features a lovely scent.

Tochigi Leather is called “a rarity in the world” because it uses only natural vegetable tanning. The factory’s 160 pits are filled with high-quality tanning made from Brazilian mimosa. Leather is dipped into the pits from the lowest tanning concentration to the highest, so the tanning slowly and naturally permeates over time.

One craftsman does all processes of Kobashi wallet production in Chiba. Time-consuming hand-polished finish.

The solid brass snap fastener is made by the oldest snap fasteners company in Chiba, established in 1909.
